Remember,

ML is built on a 3D engine. That usually means you can play from many POV's. If that's the case, you may be looking at the first person POV or a zoom POV and not where you might play the game.

My comp can barely run Majesty. It runs the smaller maps smoothly, but anything above Medium with 10+ heroes.... *shudder* LAG CENTRAL!

500 MHZ P2 Processor
192 MB RAM
10 GB initial space, 3 GB free
Video Card: Intel Chipset Graphics Driver
52X CD ROM

I think you will definitely have to upgrade to play majesty 2. It might be cheaper for you just to buy a newer system.

I am trying to figure out if I will just need more memory, or if I will need a new graphics card and/or CPU also.

We just upgraded to a beast machine:

P4, 2.4 GHz
1 GB of RAM (Yes, 1GB of RAM, more than the whole of my first HDD)
80 GB HDD
DVD-CD-ROM-RW combo drive
NVIDIA Card (don't know what it is, but it's sweet)

No problems with Majesty, even with XP Home edition (we ran XP Pro before) although the scrolling speed in Majesty is now very, very fast, and takes some getting used to.

Pg. 53 of Computer Games Magazine had a M2 teaser! I'm so glad to see it coming to light!

Cheers,

Upgrading/Buying a new comp costs a lot over here... I saw this deal in the newspaper last week:

P4 2.4 GHz Processor
164 MB RAM
20 GB HDD
15" Colour Monitor
Video Card not mentioned

All this for 35,000 Rupees; which is about US $ 7000. Think it's worth it? :\

Someone ought to start a PC import business over there...

Maybe an idea is to find out what the International "Duty" limit is for import into India. If it is like $500 or something, book the cheapest flight to any US state/city, buy a laptop or a PC, and then bring it back with you. (If its legal)

The bonus is you would get a trip out of it which I think would be well under $7000.
