I took the liberty of creating the "about" topic. Hope that's ok.

So, what do you think of New Volencia? A "magnate" is a powerful person normally in regard to business or industry. I thought it would be a creative and different name for the "king" of New Volencia.

Interesting, very interesting. Archmage, the last name is Magisray. And I think we should do another one of those charecter descriptions for the new charecters. Here's one for Riven.

Princess Riven Atreinos Magisray:

She may seem like a brat, but she isn't. She's just turned sixteen, thus entering her "rebellious stage." She hates being royalty, and wishes she could be "normal" and have friends. She often feels that if she could just sneak away and live someplace where nobody knows she's the Princess of Magicum, she'll be able to lead a normal life, having friends aplenty. She's good with a bow, but noot eccelant. She is a Nature Nurturer (An elemental mage who speacializes in plant life) and a Weather Witch(An elemental mage who speacilizes in weather), though she doesn't quite know it yet. She was never tested for magic, but her power as an elemental mage runs deep. She has guessed at why it rains or storms when she is upset or distraught, but she doesn't know for sure. Yet.

Prince Tomass Magisray

He's not a very lagre charecter, but will make an appearence from time to time. He's Jager's son. His mother is Kristallina, or Krista. She's a dryad who lives in the Forest under Erriathrillia. Tomass is seven, and close to Riven. He is honorable, chivelerous, and virtuous. He cares very much for Riven who helped to raise him. The older girl having been bored without friends, and Tomass being the only other child in the palace, the two became nearly inceprable. Nearly.

Good idea! Here's the Thaman clan:

General Errias Thaman
King of Ferring and Head of House Thaman

Errias is a proud man who enforces a strict discipline. Both a skilled swordsman and a brillinat tactician, he has managed to conquer the prosperous kingdom of Ferring. His goal is to extend his rule even further.

Lord Daric Thaman
Ex-Baron of Thaman's Point (now Alhania) in Magicum

Daric has a personality similar to that of his cousin, the General. In addition to his pride, he has a large streak of pragmatism; this caused him to join Tanasril when the mad teratogenitor attempted to destroy Magicum. Daric was exiled, and he now swears that he will have revenge for this insult to his and his family's name, as well as assuming his "rightful role" as King of Magicum.

Lord Quivour Thaman
Chief of Intelligence for General Thaman

This vain spy is something of a misfit in his family. However, he is loyal to "his dear cousin Errias" and employs his vast skill in espionage affairs for the benefit of his militaristic relative. He also seeks to make a great profit from the fall of Magicum.

Lady Alarica Thaman
Queen of Thamos

This bloodthirsty widow is the matriarch of House Thaman, though she has passed much of her authority to General Errias. A crafty woman, she maintains her army and network of spies independant of her son's. She means to see her House brought to the forefront of Ardanian affairs.

His Highness Perovil Thaman
Prince of Thamos

His Highness is the younger brother of Errias. He is of small character, and resents being overshadowed by his brother. He is an avaricious little man, and ensures that he comes out at the top of every transaction.

Tanasril and his minions:

Tanasril the Broken
Archmage and Teratogenitor

Tanasril, the mad, malformed master of magic, has a long history. Long ago, when Magicum was in its infancy, he nearly transformed the Princess Carmen. Foiled in this, he swore to himself that one day he would destroy the Magisrays and their fledgling kingdom. When Alhana first took the throne, he attacked her realm with that object in mind, but was defeated. Now he intends to try again.
His crazed mind is fixated on two things: a burning hate for the Magisrays and an equally strong love for his "art", and his "creations". These two passions are about to come to strife, as he intends to capture and transform all living members of the Magisray family.

Grannok
High Commander of the Aergoblins

The aergoblins were Tanasril's first attempt at creating a new monster race. Stronger and smarter than ordinary goblins, their name comes the fact that Tanasril bestowed upon them great, leathery wings. Grannok, though now old, is immensely strong, and very cunning - as well as loyal to Tanasril. Tanasril leans on him and the remainder of his race as his military support, as he does not fully trust Dragun the Conqueror.

Yquellar Vanathael
Chief Engineer of the Eldwarves

The Eldwarves are nearly as high as the aergoblins in Tanasril's list of achievements. Although slightly mad as a result of the initial blending of Elven and Dwarven stock, the Eldwarves are subtle and skilled when dealing with machinery - especially when it is intended for malicious use. Yquellar is the most cruel and cunning of his race, and intensely devoted to his Master.

Sir Maris
Knight Commander of the Equestrodens

The race of Equestrodens were created rather late: just after Tanasril's defeat in Magicum. Tanasril "made" them by kidnapping Ratmen from the sewers of a nearby city, and adjusting them so that they could ride horses and so form cavalry for him. They differ also from their cousins in being both more intelligent and more courageous. They organised themselves into an order of knighthood, with Sir Maris as its leader. His skill in horseback fighting is superlative, as is his devotion to Tanasril.

Xath
Shapeshifter
Xath was the dissipated son of a minor noble in Shovrah-Dan. His crimes, though small, were enough to land him in the king's dungeons. There he met Terida, and from thence he was rescued by Yquellar. Brought before Tanasril, the archmage recognized the petty criminal's potentials and imbued in him the power to assume the form of any living creature at will. Xath is, surprisely enough, fairly loysal to Tanasril.

Terida
Shapeshifter

She too was in the dungeons of Shovrah-Dan for her crimes. She fell in love with Xath and was planning their escape when rescued by the Eldwarf. She accepted her endowment of shapeshifting skills far more eagerly than her mate. She is, indeed, the more intelligent of the two, and her nature tends more strongly towards evil than does Xath's. She is not, however, loyal to Tanasril for his own sake.

Ephinmor
Head of the Magefels

Ephinmor was an ambitious Wizard with an insatiable love of power. Breaking away from the Conclave, he was attempting to establish his own society of magic when contacted by Yquellar. He accepted Yquellar's offer of service to Tanasril in exchange for greater knowledge and power. He and his Wizards were than transformed by the teratogenitor into catlike creatures. Ephinmor is still greatly ambitious; though not especially loyal to Tanasril, he knows when he is outclassed. Still, one day he hopes to change that.

The Silveredges:

Lord Wodenthal Silveredge
Baron of Castle Silveredge

Baron Silveredge has always been Alhana's staunchest supporter. In his day, he was a master swordsman, though now age and corpulency have rendered it necessary for him to use a cane to move around. Although weakened physically, Wodenthal is still a powerful figure, whose jovial character hides a shrewd mind.

Lord Toberk Silveredge
Advisor to Baron Wodenthal

Unlike the majority of the Silveredges, Toberk is not a swordsman. Rather, his proficiency is with the bow - once a Ranger and now the best archer in the land. Age has done little to him, save temper his vast wisdom. He is devoted to his cousin the Baron, and to the Queen. He has a humourous streak, though he shows it to only his close friends. With everyone else, he is rather formal.

Lord Drexel Silveredge
Heir of Baron Wodenthal

Drexel is the young, impetuous son of the Baron. He has been trained in the ways of the Warrior, and is quite good at swordplay. Eager to prove himself, and quite loyal to his family and the Queen.

Sir Treven Silveredge
Guildmaster of the First Magicum Warriors' Guild

Sir Treven actually played a large part in bringing up Alhana when her parents died. He feels responsible both for her and her family. He is also, of course, an adept with the sword.

Sir Juster Silveredge
Blademaster

Sir Juster was originally from a small village on the Valmorgen Coast. The village was destroyed by Tanasril's minions, its inhabitants forced to serve in the madman's army. However, Sir Juster rebelled against the archmage, and aided Alhana in defeating him. Now he bears a deep hatred for the teratogenitor, and is both eager to confront him and cautious of his power.

Others:
His Imperial Majesty Tarmyln III
Emperor of D'Tar Mordin

Tarmyln, the ambitious Emperor of D'Tar Mordin, is recognized by the rulers of Ardania as when of the best negotiators of all time. He honours the alliance made so long ago with Magicum, though always with an eye to his own gain. His overriding goal is to extend the power of his Empire. Be that as it may, he is generally a just and good man, and is calm at all times.

Mung the Very Large
Chieftain of the Dryad Temple to Krolm

Mung is brave, honourable, and uncouth; he is also possessed of a fine wisdom often hidden by his rough exterior. Though Alhania's Barbarians have played little in the events of Magicum, that might soon change as the armies of General Thaman prepare their move.

I leave it to you, Archmage, to decide what it is Dragun's doing. Whatever it is, assume Tanasril knows about it.

There we go. That adds as little twist, no? And, I'll post some of my characters now and will add more later:

The New Volencians

The Magnate Thordin Barthaenian
Leader of New Volencia
Called the first businessman of Ardania. Very ambitious, yet means well. Exceptionally intelligent. However, is not a military man. Responsible for making the Fallumae Iron Process known to Ardania...though only known as the "Secret." Also established the Golden and Iron Guilds. Master of the industy. Is an ally to the King and Queen of Magicum. Also on friendly terms with the Emperor of D'Tar Mordin.

Lord Iohcarael Atreinos
Advisor to the Magnate
Guildmaster of the Golden Guild

Also a businessman, however not to the extreme the Magnate is. Also intelligent. Is more of a military man the Magnate. Distant cousin to the Atreinos of Magicum.

Ironmaster Durthar Barthaenian
Guildmaster of the Iron Guild
Second cousin to the Magnate. Stout and trustworthy, Durthar normally takes control of New Volencia when Lord Iohcarael and the Magnate are gone. Is one of the finest Ironmasters in all the Iron Guild.

The Rekc'Art

Lord Warder
Rekc'Dar
Lord Warder became a "Lord" when he accepted the responsibility of the Rekc'Dar, who is the leader of the Rekc'Art order. He is, of course, the same old Warder that has been in the previous two stories. Extremely devoted to a cause, he will stop at nothing to get something done. Doesn't really care the authority of kings. Just about the only leader he somewhat respects would be Queen Alhana, because of her courage in last story.

Eruthac the Watcher
Eruthac is a master scout and is quick with his staff. He is totally devoted to following the orders of the Rekc'Dar Lord Warder. Trustworthy, Eruthac will stand with the order of the Rekc'Art to the end.

Todth of the Sword
Todth is a massive man, armed with mithril armor and sword, instead of the normal Rekc'Art garb of cloak and staff. He's a military expert and is a great warrior to have around in a fight.

The Enemies

Dragun (once called "the Conqueror")
Former captian of pirates
One of the highest Generals in Tanasril's command

Joined alliances with Tanasril the Broken. Hates the man, but realizes the importance of allying himself with him. Is on the most intelligent military men in all of Ardania. Secretly preparing to make his move against Tanasril.

Halphin Trythr
Unknown
Very little known about it. A new Ironmaster. Apparently in league with the renegade Dark Knights.

The Dark Knights
Rengade Group of Warriors
Once part of the Warrior Guild, these group of warriors have formed an underground resistance against the Warrior Guild and good forces of Ardania. They are not very powerful in influence and their numbers are few, but they are some of the greatest warriors in Ardania. Though little else is known about them, it appears that they have allied themselves with Dragun.

Sir Kradght
Leader of the Dark Knights
Sir Kradght is a broad man, with two large, wicked-looking scars crossing over his face. At his side is a large broadsword and dagger. He is the leader of the Dark Knights order. In alliance with Dragun, though only for the money. Wants nothing to do with the war between Tanasril and Magicum. He is only playing a part of the war because of the rewards of wealth, land, and power. Respects Dragun, but despises Tanasril.

The Terms

Falliumae Iron Process
Discovered by Redai Falliumae, the Process was handed down to the Magnate Thordin Barthaenian who used it to produce the best quality of weapons and armor.

The Golden Guild
Guild created by the Magnate. It controls the selling and distribution of the products that New Volencia makes. Leader of the Guild is Lord Iohcarael Atreinos.

The Iron Guild
Guild created by the Magnate. It controls the producing of Processed weapons and armor. It then gives them over to the Golden Guild to sell. Workers of the Iron Guild are called Ironmasters. Ironmasters go through hard training to become an Ironmaster. They are paid large sums of money...some getting more than a minor king.

I updated the character list, adding a category called "The Terms" in case anyone gets confused. Is there anything else that I should add that is confusing?

And I think we should make it know that this story is not reserved just for the three of us. Anyone who wants to can join. Just make sure you've read the previous two "Sovereigns" so you know what's been going on in the story.

Yes, everybody, feel free to join in. But do it quickly, because the story's getting swpet away.

Nice to know SOMEONE's reading it. The only people who posted in this topic for the second one were the writers! Guess it's a good thing we liked writing it so much, or we would have complained.

Indeed. I've added another twist of my own. Wonder how far we can twist this story before it breaks.

I've also updated my character list, adding the Rekc'Art.

And, I'll be gone this weekend so don't expect me to post anymore additions until Sunday or Monday sometime.
