but what i love in games is fantasy warfare.

I have $3,700 in savings but if it will help I'll take a 50-50 share in maj2.

In the meantime does anyone know of any other games out there that have the hands off approach to micromanagement like majesty has? I'm a huge AoE fan. My favorite tactic is to start a game with 8 players on 3 teams build a market and then use cheat codes to build up my resources. Then I distribute them to other armies ,kill myself, and just watch the other armies fight each other. To sum it up I pretty much just like to play god. So if anyone knows of any games that don't require constant battle commands, RTS in general, please let me know.

PS: I'm not kidding about the whole $3,700 thing either. I'll even settle for a 40-60 split.

Ever heard of Civilization, you dont play god, but you can rule the world with an iron fist or a velvet glove...

Civ would have been a great series except that it is complete micromanagement. AoE would be cool if you could train generals to command you troops for you. I did think of another game that is pretty fun and mostly hands off Dungeon Keeper!

I don't mind micro myself, it's the-micro-without-any-time-to-think that bugs me in RTS games. Civ was turn-based, so I obsessively scheduled every building construction, balance of specialists, military production and irrigation scheme for every city. You could automate a lot of things, though.
Wow, it's 3am already? Now is that temple done...

In fairness, his application seems largely harmless.

Ahh another dungeon keeper fan. Unfortunately EA have repeatedly cancelled Dungeon Keeper 3. They should hang out with cyberlore.

Not really because I shudder to think how badly the AI would lead my troops. "Lets put are foot soilders in range of their archers and leave them there. Better, lets put are knights there as well."

I must say I liked civ 3 but the call to power series made by the same people was a far better turn based game as for example soilders attacked in groups so I could not put two units in my city and make it impenatrable. Neither game is complete micro management though and some of the features such as build queues and specialists can be left to the computer to do for you.

Trails off into incomprehensile rants about how games were developed by aliens to make us go insane.

The only thing with Call to Power is that it ends my turn before I can do anything. Once my people move, it assumes I'm through and, well, that's it for that turn. The thing is, I'll move, and then work on my production line, or atleast I would if I could. That's really the only problem with it. It can be annoying when you don't get to see what's going on when your unit moves out, but that makes it interesting. I'm used to Civ. 2, you see.

And if it did the job really well, people would complain that the game was too easy. The trick is to have an AI you can *train.*

Thats what I mean. I would like to be able to train my generals and then see how they do. Wouldn't that be pretty cool? Teach your generals what units do well against other units and then let them organize and lead them. Or better yet be able to build military acadamies that you can research different abilities to increase your generals intelligence like field tactics 1 or troop deployment. That way we don't have directly influence the game (i still want majesty 2 Crying or Very sad ). Now if we could just find a studio to implement it into a game.

I am looking forward to AoE3. You can see how much I like it in the AoE 3 topic under Games.
