"UUUUuuuuUUUuuuurrRRRRrrrgh" the Warrior of discord keeled over dropping his chaos blade and clasped his arms over his stomach. It had been three whole days since the poor warrior had eaten a thing. He was practically starving, and cold and wet from the rain that was lightly falling throughout the swamp. He wearily looked up at the cloudy gray sky taking off his helmet and opened his mouth to catch some of the drops that were falling on his face. He suddenly noticed a small trail of smoke reaching up to the sky. Being the curious type of person that Warriors of Discord usually are, he picked up his blade, put back on his helmet and started off in the direction of the smoke. "GIDDIEYAP!" he yelled at himself in one of his characteristic moments of disturbed insanity.
After what felt like quite a few minutes of trudging over the muddy ground, he saw where the fire was originating from. He saw a small campfire with two small figures huddling by it holding sticks with what looked like FOOD on them! His mouth began to water and the mere thought of the chance to eat and he drooled and slobbered and charged towards the fire.
You would have never thought a Warrior of Discord could run so quickly! Only a three day fast and the promise of a meal could get one of these insane warriors to outrun an Adept or even a Barbarian that's high on the Rage of Krolm.
Rudie of the ill fitting loins charged for this tranquil little fire, and when the two small figures turned and saw this uninvited quest charging at them they squealed and grasped their weapons. For Rudie had interrupted the dinner of two small goblins, a warrior and an archer who had become seperated from their warband. As Rudie noticed that these were goblins he was approaching he yelled out in glee! It had been nearly a month since he had last been able to "play with some gobblies" as he liked to put it. Rudie drew his blade and thrust it ahead of him as if it were a lance and aimed it right at the head of the little terrified archer and over took the frightened little thing before it could even put an arrow on the string of it's bow. And in one fast powerful motion Rudie's blade struck the goblin's head and rammed it into the ground burrying it several feet into the earth leaving only it's little legs sticking up from the mud. Rudie then hit the other goblin with the back of his left fist while still holding and grinding his blade into the ground with his right. The goblin's skull shattered upon impact with his fist and flew back hitting a nearby tree and it's decapitated body fell lifelessly to the ground with a small thud. Rudie then contentedly sat back on a dead log by the fire and picked up the now slightly burned rabbits the goblins had been cooking and gobbled away on his well earned feast.

"brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrppffft" Rudie giggled as the flames of the fire shot up with the wind he passed. Apparently the rabbits those goblins were cooking wasn't exactly fresh. Oh well, a full sick stomach isn't as bad as an empty one so long as you're not throwing up. So goes the logic of a Warrior of Discord...

"Eeeeeeeeeeerblip!" the strange green bubble around her trembled with a wild shreik. Hadn't this happened before? Who could remember? "Urbal, burbal, boo! Ha! cree-*snort*" Whatever it was, it seemed to be in its death throws. Hopefully, Gildes would not meet a simaliar fate.

"Oh, and aren't you a pretty one? Mother had plans for you, yes? No? But Tarbluc no wanna! Oh, Mary, please no Tarbluc. What's that? That is? Yes!" A massive eye floated up before the bubble. It seemed to be quite please with it's incoherence, but then large things generally were, or were they? Oh darn that short memory! "supposing... supposing she wants Tarbaluc go? Yes? She give Tarblac shiny? Yes? No? Yay!" Oh! The bubble was beginning to quake. "What mary say, little sister? What momma saying? Go, yes? Oooooooo.... cheesy, cheesy, troll dung!!! See the shiny! See the shiny!!!"

She squealed her protests! The buble never moved! It never did, or had it? Oh, but it was shaking so much! What did the eye want? What? Was it going to eat her? She had never been eaten before, or had she? No, no... maybe?

"Pretty shiny! Pretty shiny! WOW!!! Otay! Tarbaluc go. Tarbaluc go, mary. Tarbaluc go. Otey!"

Suddenly the bubble popped and its shiny green peices littered the hard black thing. No she could go. The eye would not follow! A hole! A hole! It was so open and wide! No safety! To go! AAAAAAAAH! A claw! A paw! Ah! The black thing was shinking below and her tail hurt mightily! No! Teeth that nash! Teeth that crash!

"Pretty prize! Pretty prize!!!" The great white things danced around her, and then the claws release and Gildes the mouse was in the black.

---

"Yummy!" And the cultist went to find the 'pretty shiny'.

The four Paladins soon saw the source of the problem. When the huge black cloud subsided, they gazed in amazement at the short humanoid creature before them. Surely nothing of such stature could cause such panick.

The Mirren made no sound as it floated just above the ground, in the direction of the Paladins. When it was in range, it cast teleport short, so that it could engage the Paladins in melee.

The leader swung her sword, but the creature dodged to the side. It grabbed a Paladin by the wrist and forced her to drop her weapon.

As it did this, it was struck twice on its back, but did not even flinch. It punched the Paladin in the stomach, causing her to black out.

Suddenly magic began to flow between the two. In mere moments, the fallen Paladin was deathly pail. The three who remained cast Shield of Light, hoping that it would protect them.

The creature, moving with the swiftness of a gnome, caught a Paladin aroung the waist and lifted her off the ground. It hurled her at the lead Paladin, knocking them both unconscious. It moved quickly to drain them as well.

It cast the Shield of Light on itself as it prepared to consume the last of the group.

Picking up a sword, it charged the last woman who stood against it. She dodged quickly, but was struck by the sword as it turned to face her again. Before she could react, it put its arm around her neck. The incredible force that he used caused her to quickly lose consciousness. It then kneeled over her and took her strength for his own.

Elliot was delighted as he strolled along the path.
He had just come back from the promotional ceremony on completion of his training to Veteran Guard.
Elliot walked tall with pride, wearing his new blue tunic. Not many of his peers were advanced to his level.

As he made his way to the inn, he saw a ratman climb out of the sewer. Leveling his halberd, he charged the monster! The ratman slowly looked up at Elliot.
As Elliot skewered the rat, he thought, "my, this rat looks rather pale."
The ratman slumped to the ground, and Elliot withdrew his halberd. Immediately, he noticed that the blade was unusually clean. Not that there wasn't the usual grime after dispatching a foe, just a little less.

Puzzled, he walked into the inn for a drink. As he walked in, the place was strangely quiet. He happened to look over and see the wizard and the ranger that he met last week. Elliot wondered where thier smelly gnome friend was, but this thought quickly passed.

"Hello.. um Vanarian, wasn't it?"

A pale faced Vandar looked up from his drink, "That would be Vandar."

"Ah yes, sorry about that, you are Anarian,"

Anarien looked up, even more pale than the wizard, grunted, and then went pack to his drink.

As Elliot walked to the barkeep, who was also a bit pale, he commented, "Everyone sure seem rather off colour today, from the rats in the sewers to patrons of your inn."

Vandar's ears perked at the comment. "Did you say PALE RATS!"

Elliot turned to see a stark white look on Vandar's face. Elliot started to feel a twinge of the fear that was permeating throughout the room. "Well... yes... um, I confronted one just as he was exiting the sewers today."

Vandar recomposed himself and closed his eyes, feeling, searching for the power for of the shade or whatever it was that they had barely escaped from just the other day.

Anarien grasped Vandar's arm in terror. "Is...Is...Is...it..near?" he gasped.

"No, we are safe for the time being." Vandar sighed in relief.

Elliot was worried now. He thought of the gnome, and then, well, he thought against asking about gnome.

Vandar looked at Anarien, "We need to do something about this... situation."

Anarien answered, "What! Are you mental old man! You saw what it did to those Paladins! You saw what was left of Bopo! This will be the death of us!" Anarien, wide-eyed, sulked back into his drink.

Elliot looked around the room, and saw fear in everyone's eyes. Straitening his back, he called out, "Time for me to make my rounds." He walked bravely through the door, hoping this day would be uneventful.

With his belly full, and his gasious pains relieved, Rudie's eyes slowly began to close as the flames of the goblins' fire died down to glowing red embers. Just as the relaxation of slumber filled his body, the wild dreams of chaos began, like they always did, and his eyes began to flicker wildly under his squinting eyelids. But tonight Rudie's dreams were far more intense than any other night. For in them, Fervus the God of Chaos appeared. "Rudie my stong little Mohamad." Fervus chanted. "Rudie your time in the course of chaos is at hand. Time for you to go now and do your master proud. Go now and find the thing that threatens all things, even me! But that's not all, if you act now I'll throw in this free pair of sandals! Handcrafted by me personally! You'll be the envy of all of the other barefooted Warriors of Discord in the neighborhood!"
A wide smile appeared on Rudie's face. "But look now, a big greater chaos that wants to eat me has come back into this world. See what my eyes will show you..."
And through his godly powers of farvision, Fervus allowed Rudie to see a high temple dedicated to Fervus. Large torches lit a scene of Cultists frolicking and prancing on and around massive statues of wolves and bears and eagles and rats and many other creatures that Rudie didn't even recognize. All was as it should be in a temple of Fervus if not for a small dark patch that that Rudie automatically noticed darting silently from tree to tree, approaching the temple swiftly and apparently unseen by any of the cultists. But then the dark form lost its element of surprise and leaped from the trees onto a statue on the edge of the light of the torches and bonfires. Suddenly all of the cultists stopped what they were doing and stared at it. One of them then approached it slowly, chanting the sacred words of enchantment. It was not a mere cultist walking towards it but a high priest of Fervus. The words of the highest priest could sway any animal of nature into his power. The priest stepped closer to the small black form and spoke louder and repeated the enchantment, but still it did not stir. The priest yelled at the top of his lungs at the entity and still it did not move. The other cultists cackled at their leaders amazing shortcomings and chattered amongst each other quietly. Finally the priest ground his teeth together and ripped off his mask to get a better look at this odd creature that could resist his enchantment. The moment his mask came off and he laid his eyes on it, he gasped and spoke only one word which Rudie could barely hear. And upon mentioning that word, two arms shot out from the creature and wrapped themselves around the priest and dragged him kicking and screaming for the others around him inside of it. All of the other cultists scattered, the torches and fires were doused and Rudie could see no more. He could only hear frantic yelling and cries of terror and pain which grew more faint and distant. All at once he saw Fervus' face right in front of his own looking straight into his eyes. "You are one of the few hopes your God has left my illigitamite son. All the other gods fear what I fear, the thing who ate my followers. It wishes to consume everything and anything and all that it can. And you must do what you can do, kill it dead! Weapons are useless against it, magic feeds it. You must find some way you can take this thing out once and for all.... remember the sandals, you'll get sandals if you can do this for me!" Fervus finished with a grin and faded away. Rudie awoke in a cold sweat. Just in time to see the sun rise in these dreary swamplands, almost causing him to forget his dream and the visions he just had. As he picked himself up from the ground, reality began to sink in. Fervus himself commanded him to start a quest to kill something that couldn't seem to be killed. He looked down at his chaos blade and picked it up realizing it was useless. If weapons were no good and magic wouldn't work, how can you make this thing dead? And then with the few remaining braincells still uncorrupted in his mind, it occured to Rudie that he needed to find those who knew death and all of the paths that could take you to it, the followers of Krypta, the Goddess of Death.

Prathor the Dragon Stood on the top of the cliff where the horde of dragons now settled.
Strong sea wind blew over him, and sunshine refract on the gold squama that he has.
He felt proud.

The lives became much easier after the settlement was done. The air is warm and the food is adequate.
The young dragons went to the sea to hunt each morning when the sun rose. Every night when sunset began they flew back with fish and covered the orange dusk sky with their huge winds.
As the young once went hunting The Ancient Dragons stayed at cliff, and research for the incredible spells.
All is fine.

What Most Pleased him is that in all the human kingdoms, Menace from dragons’ fire breath is decreasing as more and more dragons gathered under Prather’s Mind and Power.

But He still has a quest that even him can’t understand.

One day, He was resting on the top of the cliff as he does everyday, when everyone when on the sea, he relaxed under the sun, and felt comfortable.
Suddenly, Ancient dragon which he have never saw landed aside him above and told him that in the night, he is going to receive a message from spirit of the Ancient Dragon King that died ten thousand years ago.
That Night, Prathor stood on the top of the cliff and looked around his horde. He stayed awake, and he knew that something would happen.
There is a strange star that hasn’t been seen before rose…
When it’s right above him; everything that he saw turned snow white.
The star dropped slowly, Prathor can’t believe it, but it’s true the star is slowly landing in front of him.

A terrible voice began
“My young chick, the wind of you is still not strong enough to blow away evil in this land, You will have to find My tomb, and I will tell you what to do, a great evil will flood this land and took thousand of creature’s life, But It will be destroyed, after the awake of me!”
“Who are you, then, my master?”
Prathor said, he is very scared, as he couldn’t see anything, except the snow white star is still shining in front of him.
“I was the dragon King, and still I am, until I finish my last quest, then the crown will be yours!”

Then the voice quieted down and everything’s return to normal, Prathor slept, as he felt a very strange vision emerge in his mind

He saw a huge cave, which is in a canyon between two cliffs. Inside the cave, a ruin of a huge dragon is burning in a lock of power; the flame is gold, like the color of his body.
A sound is resounding in his mind “The only the once, who lived for three thousand years, will have the color of gold!”

The second day, he collected his horde, and none said they see anything in the night, and none knows where is the cave that him saw in the vision.

But one ancient dragon said, “We haven’t find the exact reason why the ancient dragon King died, and why the ancient dragon kingdom was ruined. But we do know there was a great evil at that time, that can defeat anything!”
He went on
“I had a strange felling yesterday night that our ancient king is going to be back again soon, and will also revenge to the enemy that defeat him long time ago.”

Now , Prathor stood on the cliff , and think long and hard , for his next movement .

"Ah'm getting too old for this," a peasant woman complained as she stepped into the guardhouse. Elliot pushed out a chair for her to sit on.

"Thank ye, laddie." The woman laid her tools on the ground and collapsed on the chair. "Ye got anything to drink, laddie?" She took off her hat and fanned herself with it.

Elliot took a jug and poured water into a cup. Then he handed the cup to the peasant.

"Thank ye, again," the woman said as she accepted the cup. She drank some water. "Ye look like ye's been thinkih, laddie."

"Yes." Elliot sighed. He told the peasant woman about Mirren. He told her what he heard from rumors at the inn and word from the heroes. He told about the four paladins and how pale people looked.

"So steel no good on this fella, eh?" the peasant commented. Elliot nodded. "And it eats life and magic, eh?" Another nod.

"Sounds like this thing is a great big well," the peasant concluded.

"A great big well, Mirian?" Elliot repeated.

"Aye," Mirian said, "Ye pike no canna do good on a hole. Blood and magic like water ta it - no good. The well drinks the water."

Elliot leaned closer. "So how do you kill a well?"

"Ah," Mirian breathed, "Ye fill it with earth."

"Fill it with earth, Mirian?"

"Aye." Mirian finished the water in her cup. "Well ye make by taking earth from it. Ye put back the earth, it is dead."

"But what is earth?" Elliot asked.

"Ye got me on that." Mirian shrugged. "Water is blood and magic. Earth, I canna know. Ye the fighter, ye shall know."

Mirian looked out the door. She put on her hat. "Ye ratmen again," she sighed, "We better go work." She heaved herself to her feet as Elliot rushed out with his pike.

(May I add a new person?)

The adept walked steadily. Getting ready for the steady breathing of meditation at the royal gardens. This kingdom was pretty nice. Although it didn't have a temple to Lunlord
it did have lots of statues and royal gardens. He got to the gardens and had a strange vision while meditating. A hord of dragons were flying...and HE was leading them
they reached a tomb...it seemed... somehow... familiar... it had writing on front... he never bothered to read the writing..................................... ............................................ ............................................
He jumped up and set off "with the speed of wind" .................................
HE DIDN'T HAVE A MAP OR SUPLIES

All through the morning after abandoning the small goblin campsite, Rudie followed what appeared to be a worn down path that wound around the small ponds and large puddles of standing water of the swamplands. Unfortunately he didn't know where any temples of Krypta could be found, but he did know enough to look for a town and see if he could find someone there who could lead him to one. As he continued down the muddy and pebble covered trail, he noticed more trees were surrounding the landscape around him. The path was leading him into a forrest. As the sun rose higher in the sky, Rudie noticed huge forms passing in front of it every so often. "DRAGGiNS!!!!!" he shouted and gripped his blade. But the dragons either didn't hear or didn't care about him and swiftly flew off towards the sea. Rudie was amazed that they didn't stop to fight him but he soon forgot all about them. He had more serious things to think about, he had a pair of sandals to win! His thoughts turned to his aching bare feet, each pebble he stepped on seemed sharper than the last. But unless he wanted to face the wrath of Fervus and lose out on the chance to win those sandals, he had to find a way to finish his quest...

Meanwhile, back at the Inn, Vandar and Anarian were gloomily sitting at a table, not even looking at each other. Anarian was staring down at the cup of ale in front of him, Vandar was looking over at another empty table that was dirty and covered with crumbs. "Ah, I wonder how many types of molds and fungus will start growing on those bits of bread and cheese by tomorrow?" he thought to himself. He pondered this question in his head as his fingers traced over the emblem on the cover of the book poor old Bopo had brought him. Then it occured to him. "EGADS! WHAT A FOOL I'VE BEEN!" Vandar blurted out. Anarian jumped and fell out of his chair startled by Vandar's outburst. "What's the matter with you Wizard?!" Anarian barked at Vandar angrily. "When I first found the book I had only enough time to read the first passage in it before the Mirren appeared! Who knows what else I can learn from this!" Vandar responded excitedly. He opened up the book and set it down on the table and reread the first passage and spoke again. "I can't remember where I've heard it, but I think I know this name 'Mengkst'. I believe he may have been a mystic or a wizard of some sort or another. But maybe he had attained more information on this Mirren that we may be able to use! Perhaps there's still some hope left for us my friend." A satisfied grin appeared on Vandars face as he continued reading the old book.
"We shall see.... I can only hope you're right Vandar." Anarian said with a hint of doubt in his voice.

In the library on the town, a stranger appeared.
He looks like a wizard that is always in a pure gold cloak. No one would be able to identify him. The gold beams of rays that spread out from his cloak cover his face. He is always the first one who arrive every morning and the last one who leave every evening. He seems to be able to read even the oldest scrolls and he ignored to speak with anyone …

Three weeks after, all wizards in the town felt surprised, because no one has actually see him before …

Soon, Vander heard about this stranger, and he had a felling who he was.

Prathor sat on the comfortable chair in the library.
He smiled
“There is really something interesting in the mass over here, those little creatures are truly clever …”
Then the pages turned over automatically in front of him.
“Well, but if they are so clever. Why none of them can find out it’s ME here! Only Because I changed to their shape? Oh, little silly things!”
In mean while, he finished another book …
“These silly things are so capable of making mass! These books are not related to each other AT ALL! How can I suppose to find a useful book here?”

The book lifted into air, and flowed back to where it came from …
On the cover, there wrote "The survey of stone giants"

“I gonna to go back have fun on the sea soon” he got bored, after reading books that filled up the whole room.

Suddenly someone tapped him at his back, a voice began politely
“Your Majesty?”
Prathor surprised when he knew that some one find out whom he was.
“How can you be supposed to know who I am, Vander”?
His chair flow into air and turned around, and that made him faced the old man with long bearded.

[ Felixe Goldenfoot ]

The elf drew one last hand over the harp he'd been playing and gracefully bowed to the audience from his position on top of the table.

The peasants and a few adventurers clapped their hands and cheered as he continued to bow and smile to the people as he walked around and collected a few gold crowns here and there.

Satisfied with his work Felixe ordered a glass of wine before settling down. He sat there, sipping the wine and thinking. He had no idea where to go after this, he wasn't quite so sure if there was a lounge or gambling hall around, he'd not had the time to see for himself since he came to this town.

Instead he nudged a peasant woman in the side and smiled gently towards her before running a hand through his long, blue hair.

" Good evening ma'am. There wouldn't be any chance thou have heard of any work for a proficient adventurer such as meself? "

Felixe smiled again and looked into the womans eyes. She blushed and nodded slightly, beginning to talk hastily about something.

OOC: Hope you don't mind the jump in, and as for the woman perhaps someone could lend me a hint or so of where to go? Can't remember the entire story myself so.. =)

And in case some of you aren't all that familiar with Online RPG'ing, OOC means Out Of Character. That is, something not really relating to the roleplaying itself...

It smelled of rotting eggs and rotting sandal straps. A nice nice scent for a gnome, but this was not gnome. ~No, gnomes no kill Cultist. No, gnomes. Something Fervus no like, yes? Fervus give pretty shiny he kill? Yes.~

Tarbaluc had been tracking it since that night it had shown itself in the Temple. For luck's sake he had been in the shadows, camoflauged to appeal later in the dance as a boar. It had not seen him and he had escaped. ~away! Fly! Fly!~ and as a bird he left the ruined temple as is sucked free the souls of the other masked figures.

Now he was a wolf, tracking its scent as it wandered in search of new victims. Miles back, Tarbaluc had come upon the pale and lifeless corpse of an young dragon, its scales gone chalky as its essence was removed.

~Smell fishies? Swim? Swim? Water? Yes!~ He could smell the sea on the air, the creature was heading toward the sea. ~Cave? Bears slept caves? It was a bad bear? Bad bear? No. No bear. No.~

Tarbaluc padded on, curious and slightly madder for his exspereances...

Vandar narrowed his eyes at Prathor "I'm deeply offended. You don't think a wise and powerful wizard such as myself would know and recognize the magic of a dragon, not to mention the smell.."
Prathor scoffed at Vandar's boast that he was wise and powerful. To a dragon, NO human could ever seem very strong OR wise. But still, this wizard did aumuse Prathor, so he dicided to humor him. "Ah, my apologies. Yes I suppose in your experiences you would get to know what a dragon's subtle yet obvious smells were. Unfortunately I have not yet been able to find a spell that could mask them completely when I change my shape. But tell me good Wizard, what brings you here to my company?"
"I suppose I could ask what you're doing here as well, especially considering your history" Vandar responded "But I came because for one, I have found a journal which I am having difficulty reading. And alas Rangers aren't the best at reading ancient cryptic texts or else I wouldn't have needed to leave that comfortable little Inn. Also when I heard a wizard dressed in gold was at the library I thought it was worth investigating."
Prathor's eyes reverted back to their green almost reptillian color and form and stared into Vandar's. "So now that you've discovered me, what do you intend to do little man?" Prathor said in a threatoning voice.
Vandar tapped his wooden rod on the floor. "Well if you think I came to challenge you to a duel you would be mistaken. I've heard the rumors and reports of sightings of you and other dragons around this and surrounding areas. It's put a lot of people into a panick, but I knew better. From what I heard it sounded like you and your kind were gathering into a peaceful nesting site rather than amasing for an assualt on humanity."
Prathor's eyes widened, surprised at what Vandar knew about Dragons, and he spoke more calmly, "You're right, we mean no one any harm so long as they intend no harm to us. Though not all dragons have decided to come join my new family, I have realized that it was pointless to attack humans out of rage or jealousy or spite. Many other dragons who were tired of the constant fights and flights from humans felt the same way and have joined me at the sea's edge where they can rest and exist in peace under my protection."
"Well my good man, er, dragon.." Vandar replied "I think this peaceful existance you planned might be in trouble, along with the rest of us. And it's all connected to a curse on a staff that I've been searching for. Perhaps if you help, we may be able to do something about it."
"A curse eh?" Prathor said. "You believe a mere curse threatens me, my kind, and your kind as well? Then tell me about this curse."
