I apologize if this keeps getting asked but its been a few months since I've visited (been a tad busy) and I was just wondering how much if any progress has been made on a sequel to Majesty.
I remember threads posted in the past about Majesty2 that went completely ignored by Jay and the Cyberlore staff. (perhaps it was unintentional)
So I just will try to bug them about this again. If there's already been info posted about the next Majesty game, anybody please feel free to enlighten me, otherwise join me in continuing to bug Cyberloo about Majesty2

The most recent thread seemed to reach the consensus that there may be some progress, and Cyberlore is therefore unable to comment. Seems likely that, if Cyberlore reaches a dead end, they would then be free to tell us so. In short, no news is good news.

No news = nothing interesting = people get bored and move onto other games and forget Majesty and cyberlore goes bankrupt

Majesty is my favorite strategy game ever followed way behind my dungeon keeper 2. I have high hopes for a sequal but until then am content to continue to play the the hell out of the original.

This is my first time posting in the forums and I've been curious about something. I'm usually terrible at games but I am literally tearing through the scenarios that it came with. Right now I beat every single majesty original mission cept the final one where you fight every boss at once. I've also beaten all the beginner and advanced missions of the expansion. So I'm wondering am I just really good or are the missions really easy?

The quests were real easy.

For added challenge, download and play Wrath of Krolm.

For even more challenges, get MajX.

You are "really good".

You might find Spires of Death somewhat challenging. Most really good players have to work a little at that one.

My spin on Majesty II is that is on hiatus until further notice.
It appears that without a firm commitment from a publishing house Cyberlore will pursue other money-making ventures instead. The last time Jay told us that Majesty 2 would start production soon he got burned (actually the whole company got burned), so unless they get a firm contract (as opposed to a verbal commitment) you may never hear anything again except valed comments to private individuals.

So, if anyone out there wants to see Majesty 2 and has a lot pull with a publishing house, this would be a good time to use it.

I wish I could play Wrath of Krolm, but I have the gold edition. I managed to beat the final original mission, but I was a bit let down. I thought after I beat all the boss monsters, a new boss would have come to crush my settlement. But after I finished all the original critters the mission ended. I'm working on the expert missions from the expansion now. The mission where you have to protect the elves from the gorgons is actually giving me some trouble. Lost twice now.
And if your waiting for Majesty 2, I suggest picking up Dungeon keeper 2. Its the same kind of game and should be quite cheap due to its age.

His name wouldn't be Horny anymore then... but I bet it would include something about viagra.

But yes, DK2 is fun, and could be so much better if they made 3. But nooo, they cancelled it. They had the trailer and the hopes of many gamers that wanted to conquer the land of the heroes... from the surface, or something. I hope it gets picked up again.

I saw DK2 and DK1 bundled together at Target for $10 or so, but I wasn't sure what kind of game it was from the description so I went with Age fo Empires II instead...

I feel very very VERY VERY sorry for you. DK1 is a classic, and dkII is ALOT more advanced, but still very good. So save up 10 dollars. Better than the 70 dollars or so I spent on them each when they first came out.

I just started replaying the original Majesty(after a 8 month hiatus) and will probably load the expansion tomorrow. I'm a diehard fan. I'm a Majesty junkie. There's an online Majesty roleplaying game online at Majesty-Dragon. I don't know the exact web address, but I should be able to find out. Check it out. It's different than the computer game, but interesting. I'm anxiously awaiting Majesty 2. Just curious though, couldn't they produce the games themselves?
