Well I care about my wizards. I never have them enviroments where they would die. So I generally get about 70% surviviing. But only when I bother to look after them.

About the only wizards that survive my freestyles are those that pretty much live at the Fairgrounds. Otherwise, they die, cause I think that they're a royal pain in the butt to baby-sit.

my survival rate is probably a little better than 50%.

i generally dont recruit wizards until very late in the game, after ranged attackers have been eliminated.

i always get wizard spell access throughout neutral ground before recruiting any wizards.

I don't know what my survival rate is on wizards, but I know I love 'em. I'm working on getting better at keeping my wizards alive right now.

Survival rates, huh? Let's see...

Rate of Wizard running away from giant rat: 60%

Rate of Wizard blasting a giant rat: 40%

Rate of Giant Rat chewing up a Wizard: 80%

Rate of Giant Rat drinking Wizard left-overs: 95%

Rate of Wizard learning Fire Blast from the Library: 80%

Rate of trying out new Fire Blast spell by Blasting the first Vampire with a Magic Mirror on: 90% I swear - it seems this way.

Rate of Wizard finding out the effectiveness of Fire Blast reducing own HPs to zero: 100%

Rate of hair torn out when a wizard gets killed this way: 70% but decreasing because i'm getting used to it, and also because i think i'm running out of hair

If I can keep them alive to lvl 6 they usually live for the rest of the game.

If I don't 0% survival rate.

My wizards almost never survive. I'm to the point that when I build a wizard's guild I surround it and the library with guard houses so that monsters have better chance to survive. Rate would have to be around 25-35%.

My wizards almost never survive. I am almost ready to surround the wizards guild and library with guardhouses just to give them a headstart. Other than that, 25-40%, high.

My survival rate with Wizards in Multi-player - 0%. I'm too busy to babysit!

Players who are competent with wizards really worry me, because I'm not. I really worry about wizards that have been started early in the game because they have had time to get to a threatening level 5.

I usually go Solarii these days. Wizards that are recruited late in the game are less of a threat if I have been able to establish a good economy. ZAP! with fire strike on level 1 wizard usually results in "I'm melting!" and 150G advantage to me. If the other guy is sitting there casting anti-magic he is having to spend a lot of gold to counteract my 350G expense.

In single-player and the Quests wizards are more useful. Particularly, in the Quests. Once you have played a quest the conditions are known and wizard management easier.
