When told about that bug, Jay mentioned that it was a feature.
He also said that some powers are not meant for mere mortals to use.

Is this about the Fireball or the Abomination?
And if it's about the fireball, well, does that mean Wizards are not mortal??? *gasp*

Embarassed Oops, sorry, I thought you meant that not being able to make hereos in the Abomination quest was the "glitch" you were talking about.

It's about the Shard of Detonation that casts the Exploding Aura spell.

I stand corrected. Yeap, it was a Shard of Detonation that casts Exploding Aura that damages nearby heroes/monsters regardless of being friendly/hostile. Fireballs in general only damage hostile enemies within a small area.

I wonder if a Solarii's Solar Flare(?) spell damages nearby heroes like the Exploding Aura spell? If so, then that might have been the problem - both Solarii were fighting some monster, one of them casts Solar Flare and kills the monster and accidentally damages the other Solarii who in turn attacks the first Solarii back. Hmm...

Just off-hand, I don't think that's it. I think their Solar Flare is like a Wizard's Fireball in that it only damages enemies. I think I remember having several heroes around a Solarus when he cast his spell and not being affected.

But that's just due to memory, which may be false. I haven't played for a while... Smile

Solar Flare does not daMage heroes.

I find that Invisibility is the Most effective tool to keep heroes froM fighting. If you can get theM to Move away froM each other, healing both of theM also should work.

I can't remeber the exact challenge but I've seen an entire group of heroes turn on a ranger for no apparent reason. I've also seen my healers helping the enemy while it is fighting. Must be a general bug.

The quest was probably Brashnard's Shards, as mentioned above.

Healers healed enemy heroes before one of the patches.
