I have mentioned posting this timeline of events in the Ardanian continuum as modified by myself and others, and now at Galen's behest I have decided to go ahead with it.
So . . .

The World Birthing

Krolm Creates the World

Krolm fashions the world of Ardania, possibly with help from other gods, such as Sylvestra, Queen of the Woodlands. Several intelligent races arise and form civilizations.

Ascendancy of the Dragons
Two of these races come to prominence. The first is a green-skinned people who seem to excel in magiks of mass destruction. The second are the Dragons, who build mansions beneath the ground out of living stone. The two powers clash early on, with the Dragons emerging triumphant. Only one member of the other race survives, hiding in some forgotten cavern until the day should come when he could have revenge.

Creation of Men
The Dragons prosper, but they either never knew of Krolm or had forgotten him in their pride. The Eldest God, in his rage at the ingratitude shown him by the creatures currently inhabiting Ardania, creates a new race: Men. These men, calling themselves Barbarians, spread across the Ardanian lowlands, being bound together by a simple philosophy of strength and survival.

Brashnard's Sphere
One of these men, Brashnard, discovers the magical Ether Winds. He uses his knowledge to create his Ultimate Sphere of Power. However, the other Barbarians mistrust this new power, and the cieftain Rogna Blood-Axe kills Brashnard and destroys the Sphere. Brashnard's followers hide the seven shards of this Sphere, and go into hiding, not to be heard of again for two thousand years.

The Dragon Wars
The humans continue to spread, until at last they draw the attention of the Dragons. The great creatures attack the interlopers, and the fury of their might and magic quickly drives back the Barbarians. Krolm watches in dismay as his followers are pushed back, close to extinction. Assuming mortal form, the Eldest God travels to D'Tar Mordin, where he strikes a bargain with the subterranean race of Dwarves. Dorva Stoneback, their Queen, forges Krolm a sword able to slay Andraxal-Kerlazor, King of the Dragons. In return, Krolm strengthens the Dwarven race. Many Dwarves abandon D'Tar Mordin at that time, moving to colonies in Gur Mechina. Krolm, wielding the sword, fights Andraxal-Kerlazor in a mighty duel. In the end, the Dragon King is slain, but Krolm is so wounded he is forced to withdraw from the mortal realms.

Birth of Helia and Lunord
To rule Ardania while he was indisposed, Krolm divided his essence and created the two siblings, Lunord and Helia. Lunord was God of Moon and the Winds; Helia, Goddess of the Sun. They began to gather followers, and created their own religions apart from their father's.

Founding of the City-States
As Helia and Lunord diverged from their father's will and from each other, their followers built rival cities. Rendishire, dedicated to Helia, was built in a valley of the Hellfire Mountains and commanded the main trade route between Northern and Southern Ardania. Garuta, city of Lunord, was built upon a tall mountain on the far side of the Hellfires; unlike Rendishire, which sprawled outward and soon filled its valley, Garuta expanded upward, crowning the spires of the mountains with man-made pinnacles.

Creation of Artifacts and the Birth of a Demi-god

In order to aid their followers, Helia and Lunord both fashioned magical artifacts. Helia's was the Sun Orb, a powerful stone infused with the goddess's own fiery essence. This was placed in the first Temple to helia's solacranum, where it provided light and energy to the whole city. Lunord's was the Holy Chalice, a sacred vessel with unmatched healing power. This was kept in the first Temple to Lunord, where it invigorated all who dwelt in Garuta.
In addition to the Chalice, Lunord also lavished much of his personal attention on Garuta, whereas Helia was content to appoint a human ruler over Rendishire. Distracted by governing his city, Lunord neglected the Moon, causing it to fluctuate and become erratic in its course. In order to cope with this problem, Lunord secretly created another goddess from his own essence. Although of less power than her father and possessed of a wayward nature, Lunord charged her with guarding the Moon and seeing that it came order control. In later years she became known as Luna, and although sometimes fickle she aided mankind where she could.
