Ok,hear's some Ardanian tidbits.(Note that the auther[me]took parts of these from books and sayings)
*******************
The Dragon
--------------------
Still and quiet dragon form,
In it's lair,asleep and warm.
It's tail is limp,it's wings are drooped,
Sheesh, what could make this thing so pooped?
Fighting Heroes,
Breaking houses,
Flying from Killer Mouses.
Wichever one of these is true,
I really must not stay,
For if I do,I might have to,
RUN AWAYYYYYYYYYYY ...AAAGGGGHHHHH... *gurgle.....bleaaaahhhhkkk*
***************************************
Ennie,meenie,minie,moe,
Catch a varg by the toe,
If it howls,you'd better run,
For if you don't,you'll turn into a Nun.
---------------------------------
(no offense to the religion,I coulden't think of anything else)
As to what was annoying me,all I have to do is put a few poems from LotR and then I get a person
putting Gollom comments on here!
Oh well,I guess I might as well join them.Quick, where's that book(runs off to find book
and slips on some water and falls in a really deep
ditch)

Darkness and Light: The Battle of the Powers
Part I: Emperor and Champion
"By Moon and wind I conjure thee!
Whip the whitecaps of the sea,
Break the power of the Sun,
With the lesser gods be done!

Oh Lunord! Heed my call, thy blessing grant,
And make these lesser fools recant!
Power of the air and night,
Blast all those of Daystar's light!"

"Vile man! Dost stand before the right?
And with lunar webs seek to defile the light?
I challenge thee! Vye with me,
Will Law be justice or tyranny?"

"Foolish girl! Who art thou?
I will thy prideful spirit cow!
Emperor I, of the sea and sky!
Fall to your knees; join Lunord or die!"

"Thou fool! Lunord sideth not with thee.
His care is for all humanity.
'Twas he that gave the Chalice,
That showed peace between the gods, not malice."

"Ha! What dost thou know of he who rules the night?
His Moon shines for more than just the right.
Feel the bite of lupine therianthropy,
Lunord's blessing-bane, lycanthropy!"

"Nay! Great Dauros, he defendeth me!
Thy spell - it cannot be!"
"It is. O foolish one!
Never more shalt thou now run
Coursing beneath the gilded Sun!
Serve Lunord thou would'st not willingly?
But Law's Champion thou hast ceased to be!
Now serve thou well, child of the night newborn
In Lunord's waning light, under the sickle-horn."

Part II - The Forbidden Art
"Wizards probe the secrets of magic's tapestry,
Over the Ether Winds they seek total mastery.
And this bodes ill for my city and yours;
We now must think together; set aside our wars."

"Ah, sister mine! What brings you thus to me?
What makes you forget our ancient rivalry?
Why trouble yourself with mortal Men?
The powers you speak of are beyond their ken."

"What? Know you not Brashnard? Now he sleeps
With our father, in the eternal deeps;
Where we go not. But still, how is it
That you forget? Have you no wit?
He shaped a sphere, an awesome ball
That made even the dead heed his call.

"But he is dead." "His thoughts are not.
Did you think that Man would let such power rot?
Ambitious, ever striving, men turn to Wizardry
They seek domination through the spells of sorcery."

"And what harm in that? They cannot do much woe."
"Foolish brother! How think you so?
They shape the shapeless with stones and steel;
What might they do with the Ether Winds at heel?"

"Ah, I see your thought. Twist the land they might;
Bring down your golden orb, and dethrone me from the night.
They might wreak much chaos if they are let go free.
But what locks is there, that can defy this key?"

"Harken, brother! They obey us still.
They will listen to our words, and obey our will.
Forbid them certain magicks; they will our law obey."
And so the Laws of Magic have stood until this day.

"And obey your laws some did, forsooth.
They laid them down as Wizardry's first truth.
But those were those who held no love for you,
Andramus the Master, and mighty Pyrog too.

What do we care for divine commands -
We who shape the earth! With our hands
We mold the mortal races, growing perfected fruit
Which we are the tenders of; our magic as its root.

Twisting, shaking, old form breaking!
Turning like clay upon the wheel!
Crying, howling, dark magicks growling,
Marking the body with their morphic seal!

Who forbids this? What of the gods!
They may stand above and shake their rods.
I shall stand beneath the earth,
And to new creatures give my magic birth."

"But who are you, the gods to defy?
Cast down nature, lift yourself on high?
Possessed of a broken body and a twisted soul,
Warping with Wizardry what once was whole!

Feel the mithril piercing your side,
Flee from the holy magic and hide!
Our arrows and swords will break through your wall
Of magic-wrought secrecy, your veil will fall!
Justice will find you, in foxhole or fen,
And no more shall you corrupt the bodies of men."

Part III: In the Moonlight

Dying flames and shifting shadows
Woven into twilight;
The Sun has set, and with it humans
Abandon us to the night.

Golden eyes to stare up at the stars,
Embers banked to hide their gleam.
Hiding away, fearing the day,
Only at night to dream!

'Twas long ago, when it first started,
When mankind was stol'n from me.
Despair and fear ruled my heart then,
I thought it was Destiny.

Crimson locks and crimson, pointed ears,
Crimson cloak around me drawn.
Crimson and white, within the night,
To hunt before the dawn!

Thrown away, to seek my refuge
Among the hostile mountains.
Torn away, and then abandoned,
The tears welling like fountains.

But there was more than loneliness,
That time never to return.
'Twas then I knew, I had much to do,
So much to see, and learn!

Molten swords and eyes of fire,
A mgihty creature flying.
Silver tears upon her falling,
As she lay there, dying.

Long ago, but I remember,
Every test and trial.
I finally made my own destiny,
Overcoming magic's deceitful guile.

Now I stand alone in night's embrace,
Silver fangs and silver hair.
It is not done, 'tis but begun,
Though Fate is neither kind, nor fair!

I have defeated Fate in this contest,
I have forged my own path despite the best,
And so I go, through the Moon's glow,
To show that I still care.

The Minotaur

A Minotaur on a moonless night
Its eyes were filled with crimson light
It stalked the alleyways to slay
A Hero before break of day.

A rogue was restless in his sleep
Saw Minotaur and in shadows deep
Hid every fiber of his being
The Minotaur passed by, unseeing.

A ranger returned from a tiring day
Saw the Minotaur, ran away
For he knew that he could not fight
A Minotaur with eyes so bright.

The Minotaur stalked on through the street
And knew before dawn it must meet
A Hero in the kingdom here
Before they all ran off from fear.

A warrior seeing from far away
planned to be back by break of day
But by then he woud have been too late
The Minotaur gone, having sealed a fate.

A Priestess wandering the dreary night
Cloaked in shadow, fled in fright
Ran to the temple, her home, and prayed
for someone to end the Minotaur's raid.

The Minotaur saw 'twas almost dawn
By that time he'd have to be gone
He raised his axe and quickened his pace
He whirled around and saw a face.

A wizard was sleeping in his bed
Heard a footstep strike like lead
He stepped outside of his home guild
He saw the Minotaur, which he killed.

The Legendary Swordsman

Left -- right -- parry, feint and cross cleave!
Slash -- stab -- turn their blows against them,
Thrust -- slice -- now, then, for it!
Draw out the blade, clean it on your sleeve.

In the mountains, Dragons feared him;
In the cities Men revered him.
From Central Plains to Northern Reach,
All creatures grew wretched with the whining of his blade,
Cowering and fleeing, falling down afraid.

He sought after bounties just to slake his sword;
He marched into Mayhew and overthrew the lord;
The soldiers of the King were set upon his trail.
He met them in the capital, in Caer Sydrian itself,
And sent them all to Krypta, singing like an Elf.

He never was defeated, by monster, man or brute;
Heroes of every class he crushed beneath his boot.
He fought his way through a Daemonwood glade -
Fighting that he might save a village from a Goblin horde.
One pass of steel and death had the Goblin Lord.

Never overcome, in legend and in truth.
Ten thousand creautres he felled without ruth.
Out on Krolm's Anvil was his last tale made.
He faced the Witch King there, with Shadowbeasts and Wights,
And the undead dread him still, in their cold, tormented nights.

Left -- right -- cross blades and sunder!
Slash -- stab -- jump, duck, shiver and shatter!
Thrust -- slice -- champion fallen!
Pull away, and fall on them like thunder!
